Cosmetic Spy is provided by an individual developer under a personal Apple Developer account.
By downloading, accessing, or using Cosmetic Spy, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. About Cosmetic Spy
Cosmetic Spy is a cosmetic, skincare, and personal care product information app. The App may allow users to scan, search, or analyze cosmetic products, ingredient lists, labels, or barcodes.
The App provides information about products and ingredients for general informational purposes only.
2. No User Registration
Cosmetic Spy does not require users to create an account or register to use the App.
Because there is no user account system, some features may be limited, and we may not be able to identify individual users unless they contact us directly or provide information through support requests.
3. Informational Purposes Only
Cosmetic Spy provides cosmetic and ingredient-related information for general informational and educational purposes only.
The App does not provide medical advice, dermatology advice, allergy advice, diagnosis, treatment, or professional healthcare recommendations.
You should not rely on Cosmetic Spy as a substitute for advice from a doctor, dermatologist, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare professional.
If you have allergies, sensitive skin, medical conditions, pregnancy-related concerns, or concerns about a specific ingredient or product, consult a qualified professional before using the product.
4. Accuracy of Information
We aim to provide useful and accurate information, but we do not guarantee that any product, ingredient, barcode, safety information, analysis result, or recommendation shown in the App is complete, accurate, current, or error-free.
Cosmetic product formulas, ingredient lists, packaging, regulations, and safety information may change over time.
You are responsible for checking the product label, manufacturer information, and any professional advice before using a cosmetic or skincare product.
5. Product Scanning and Analysis
The App may use camera access, image recognition, text recognition, barcode scanning, artificial intelligence, or other technologies to analyze cosmetic products or ingredient lists.
Scan results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or incorrectly matched to a product. You should always verify scan results manually before making decisions based on them.
We are not responsible for any issue caused by incorrect scan results, incorrect product matches, missing ingredients, outdated information, or user interpretation of the information shown in the App.
6. Camera and Photo Access
Cosmetic Spy may request permission to access your camera or photo library so that you can scan product labels, barcodes, or ingredient lists.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload, scan, or process any image you use in the App.
You may disable camera or photo access through your device settings, but some features may not work properly without these permissions.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
Cosmetic Spy may offer paid features, premium access, or subscriptions.
All purchases, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by the Apple App Store or the relevant payment provider.
We do not control Apple's billing, refund, or cancellation policies.
If you purchase a subscription through Apple:
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account.
- Subscriptions may automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings.
- Refund requests must be handled through Apple according to Apple's policies.
8. Free Trials and Promotions
We may offer free trials, discounts, or promotional access from time to time.
The terms of any trial or promotion may vary and may be changed or discontinued at any time, where permitted by law.
After a free trial ends, you may be charged unless you cancel before the trial period expires, according to the rules of the relevant app store or payment provider.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse Cosmetic Spy or use the App in any unlawful, harmful, or abusive way.
You agree not to:
- Use the App for illegal purposes
- Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, modify, or resell the App
- Interfere with the App's normal operation
- Attempt to access systems, data, or services without authorization
- Upload harmful, misleading, unlawful, or infringing content
- Use automated tools, bots, scraping, or bulk data extraction without permission
- Misrepresent scan results or App content as professional medical advice
- Use the App in a way that could damage, overload, or impair our services
We may restrict, suspend, or block access to the App if we believe these Terms have been violated.
10. Intellectual Property
Cosmetic Spy, including its design, features, text, graphics, logos, software, and other content, is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may use the App only for personal, non-commercial purposes unless we give you written permission otherwise.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, modify, or create derivative works from the App or its content without permission.

Cosmetic Spy may display or use information from third-party services, databases, APIs, analytics providers, payment providers, cloud services, or advertising partners.
We are not responsible for third-party content, services, websites, data, or privacy practices.

12. App Store Terms
If you downloaded Cosmetic Spy from the Apple App Store, you also agree to Apple's applicable terms and conditions.
Apple is not responsible for the App, its content, maintenance, support, or any claims related to the App, except as required by applicable law.
13. Updates and Changes to the App
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Cosmetic Spy at any time.
We may add, remove, or change features, pricing, availability, supported products, supported ingredients, or scan functionality.
We are not liable if any part of the App becomes unavailable or changes over time.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
Cosmetic Spy is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties or guarantees regarding the App, including but not limited to:
- Accuracy of product or ingredient information
- Accuracy of scan or analysis results
- Availability or reliability of the App
- Suitability of the App for your specific needs
- Safety or suitability of any cosmetic product
- That the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
You use the App at your own risk.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of Cosmetic Spy.
This includes, but is not limited to, damages related to:

16. User Responsibility
